Guildford, UK – 21 November 2013 - Quortus, the company transforming core network functionality into edge-based applications, today announced that Gabriel Yepes would be joining its senior management as Director of Business Development. In this role, Gabriel will help develop the Quortus business portfolio, particularly as the company looks to deliver intelligent small cell networks to enterprises. Quortus’ technology turns core network functionality in to a software application that can be installed on small cells, commodity hardware or in the cloud, reducing operation costs and enhancing user experience by placing 4G, 3G and GSM core functionality where it’s needed.
Gabriel joins following two years at operator O2 UK as Transmission Demand & Development Manager. Prior to this he spent a decade at network infrastructure giant Ericsson in a variety of engineering roles. Gabriel possesses degrees from the Universidad del Cauca (Colombia) and the University of Surrey (UK) as well as an MBA from the Open University (UK).
