Quortus Shortlisted for Two Small Cell Forum Small Cell Industry 2015 Awards


Industry-first enterprise small cell VoLTE solution with Cisco and ECX Tactical entries both named as finalists Guildford, UK – 21st May 2015 – Quortus is delighted to announce that its products have been shortlisted in two categories by The Small Cell Forum in the annual Small Cell Industry Awards. This marks the fourth year running that Quortus has been named a finalist. The company has been shortlisted for ECX Tactical, a 4G tactical network solution for public safety and government, in the small cell technology and deployment enablers (components, subsystems, software, and system integration) category; and jointly with Cisco for the enterprise small cell VoLTE solution in the small cell network element design & technology section. The awards winners will be announced at the Small Cells World Summit where an awards ceremony presentation will be held on 10th June at the Painted Hall Greenwich. Already in trials with a number of operators, it uses an “intelligent RAN” approach to provide true integration between local voice and data services and 3G or 4G macro infrastructure. Quortus ECX Tactical is a software solution that allows the creation of field-deployable private cellular 4G ‘bubbles’ with specialized features for the public safety and first responder market, including multicast/broadcast, in-session mobility, relay-station functionality and ad-hoc meshing.
