Quortus enables new services with virtualized core networks


Company to unveil value-added solutions for rural, remote, enterprise and public safety markets Guildford, UK – 25th February 2015 – At Mobile World Congress 2015 (Barcelona, 2 – 5 March 2015), Quortus will showcase new revenue models and service capabilities enabled by its growing range of products for virtualization in mobile core networks. The company will announce a significant expansion of its ECX (EdgeCentrix) product range, enabling value-added services for enterprises; cost-effective and flexible connectivity for remote sites and rural communities; and robust public safety offerings. Also at the show, the Quortus ECX Core Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solution will be demonstrated at the booth of Cavium, Inc., (NASDAQ: CAVM), Hall 2, Booth 2F60, and Quortus CEO Andy Odgers will present at the Small Cell Forum (SCF) Booth (Hall 7 Booth 7F61) on the topic of “Virtualizing the mobile core: enabling rural, remote and enterprise small cell deployments”. The new developments in the company’s ECX product family, to be unveiled in detail on day one of the show, include the launch of ECX Tactical, designed for public safety organizations, the emergency services, military operations and other governmental/aid operations. ECX Tactical will be on show at the heart of a demonstration product in association with Deltenna at the Small Cell Forum Booth (Hall 7 #7F61). Also added to the ECX suite of products will be a solution specifically designed for remote and rural small cell applications, and supporting the launch next week of the next stage in the Small Cell Forum’s Release Programme, which covers such applications.
