The unique Quortus SoftCore product family delivers a complete mobile GSM and 3G core network with full core functionality – voice, data, SMS and SIP services – as a software application that can run on devices so small a whole mobile core network can fit in the palm of your hand. Yet scalable and highly adaptable, the SoftCore product range provides a new lower cost threshold for many types of mobile network deployment.
Directly supporting a range of different GSM and 3G UMTS picocells, femtocells and longer range radio transmitters, SoftCore based micro-networks are ideal for enhancing Enterprise voice networks with in-building 2G and 3G coverage, for highly scalable satellite based rural network deployments and for security or emergency service operations.
SoftCore systems may be used as standalone private mobile networks or, in its SoftCore Connect variant, as part of a scalable distributed network of individual SoftCore units, each leveraging our unique SIP-based architecture to be able to operate independently with local switching and connectivity, yet collectively supporting user roaming through a centralised host mobile operator interconnect.
