About Quortus
Quortus is a small software technology company with a big idea: bringing 2G and 3G cellular service into more places through highly innovative and ultra-mobile technology. The founders of Quortus have more than 8 years of experience developing IP-based picocell cellular network core software. That background proved the basis for developing the SoftCore solution, a unique product that combines the functionality of 2G and 3G core networks onto a small footprint highly adaptable platform.
Based in Guildford, South West of London, Quortus has customer deployments around Europe and around the world. The company continues to develop its SoftCore product and to focus on its target market and industry sectors, including supporting the latest radio technologies, advancing its distributed architecture and developing new forms of integration.
The way we work
For some market sectors, Quortus usually works through systems integrators (SIs), our 2G/3G core network technology often being a component in a larger communications solution and an end-to-end view is important in these markets. The SIs we work with have considerable and comprehensive skills in enterprise voice and IT deployments for example, a definite necessity when planning and supporting complex in-building FMC solutions.
We usually work through distributors or directly with end-users for smaller scale projects, for ‘shrink-wrapped’ standalone solutions or where specific customisation is required.
Quortus also has partners that can bring specific additional skills and technoloy, for example in robust outdoor packaging, security service applications and satellite backhaul optimisation for remote installations.
